Lower Zambezi

Lower Zambezi National Park is one of Zambia’s most scenic and rewarding safari destinations, set between the Zambezi River and a dramatic mountainous escarpment. Its riverbanks, floodplains and woodlands attract elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, hippos and abundant birdlife, with magnificent views across the river towards Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools National Park.

The Lower Zambezi is particularly known for its variety of activities, including game drives, guided walks, boat safaris, canoeing and catch-and-release fishing. Small camps and limited visitor numbers create an intimate wilderness experience, while the river adds a relaxed but adventurous dimension to every stay. It combines especially well with South Luangwa, Victoria Falls or a wider Zambia safari.
